Some More Stripes

So let's just talk about the fact that this dress accentuates everything. That's good for my lady lumps and booty but bad for my hips and love handles. I told Christian I felt slightly like Kim Kardashian when I was wearing it, she's one confident woman.

On a side note, did anyone else LOVE how Kate Middleton looked while she and William introduced their son to the world? She looked so stunning and fresh but not stick thin; there was still a little bump in her belly. I'm just so happy to see women who are real, it's quite refreshing. That's true beauty.

You know those times when you have an item in your closet that keeps staring at you but you really aren't feeling it? Then one day you decide to put it on, and, BAM a whole new woman! Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration. This dress does make me feel pretty good though for something I didn't think I liked. Plus, I got compliments on it from 4 strangers and the boyfriend, I think that counts for something ;)

Happy Monday pretties! I'm sporting my natural hair today, not sure how I feel about it. The humidity from all the storming here in AZ helped it curl a little better but also made it mega frizzy. I think I just need to let it go more often and rock it, so much better for my hair.

A couple other things, sorry for the lack of outfit post on Friday, I totally spaced it. Also, check out my new additions to Poshmark :)

Birthday Suit

Boy, aren't you glad those pictures weren't of my actual "birthday suit"? I just liked the title ;)

I arrived in San Diego on Saturday for my family's annual trip and celebrated my 21st birthday with some of our closest family and friends. About 50 of us went out to dinner and filled up on pizza and cake. I got a little chocolate wasted since I don't drink alcohol, it was divine. I am just so blessed to have so many people who care about me. I teared up when my sweet daddy gave a toast, it was one of those moments where you look around and just can't thank God enough for all you've been given.

We took a few photos but had a hard time getting my new camera lens to cooperate at night. Sorry fam, I love you, but our pictures were blurry messes so those won't be getting posted.

Happy Monday pretties! I hope you all enjoyed your weekends. As I mentioned last week, I spent the holiday and weekend at my parents' cabin. It was just glorious. We played bags (cornhole), took morning walks, played board games, ate yummy food, and enjoyed the weather that was 50 degrees cooler than home. A cell tower was down all weekend but I was secretly happy, I hardly looked at my phone or computer all weekend.

This little trip was merely a precursor to my family's annual vacation to San Diego this coming Saturday (which also happens to be my 21st birthday). Yay for family, friends, food, and fun!

It's almost the weekend pretties, yay!! How was everyone's 4th of July? I celebrated in Pinetop at the cabin with my family, Christian, and lots of friends. I'm so excited to be here for the rest of the weekend enjoying the beautiful weather.

July Must Haves

July has always been one of my favorite months. First off, it's my birthday month. My family always takes a trip to San Diego in July, we spend the 4th of July in the pines, it's my last full month off before going back to school, and although it's sweltering here in Arizona, we do get some amazing monsoon storms.

My must haves for July include some classic summer pieces, fun accessories, and patriotic gear for 4th. What are your July must haves?
