As a few of you may have noticed, I now have an Aéropostale VIP banner on my sidebar. A couple of weeks ago Aéropostale invited me to be a part of their VIP program for bloggers and I couldn't have been more thrilled. Aéropostale has completely revamped their clothing style and their new fall line is to die for. This is the outfit I wore to the fall unveiling last night. I unfortunately forgot to take the camera to the event so I don't have any photos but it was so much fun! I got some amazing new pieces that I will be styling throughout the week so stay tuned :)

P.S. I also have naked nails this week... I'm not happy about it but they need a break. I usually don't get "gel", but I did a couple of times this summer for vacations and my poor nails are so thin now.

Summer Lipsticks

Yay for it being Wednesday! It's movie day with the kiddos today, my favorite. Oh, and I'm shopping the Nords Anniversary pre-sale...perfect day.

The lipsticks above are my must-haves for summer. I love that I will be able to transition a lot of them to the fall as well. Most of these are statement lipsticks, bright and intended to be an "accessory". My two everyday colors are YSL Sheer Candy #9 and MAC's Politely Pink. I am in LOVE with YSL's Sheer Candy line, they're glossy and hydrating with just a hint of color (not to mention they smell amazing) but it pained me to spend $35 on lipstick. I've discovered that drugstore lipstick can be just as lovely! My only recommendation is to keep your reciept in case the color doesn't end up working out.

It's almost the weekend pretties, yay!! How was everyone's 4th of July? I celebrated in Pinetop at the cabin with my family, Christian, and lots of friends. I'm so excited to be here for the rest of the weekend enjoying the beautiful weather.

First off, how amazing is that hat? I'm clearly a hat lover and Panamas are my absolute favorite, now in navy... perfection.

I'm always looking for the perfect casual summer outfit that can take you from shopping to errands and lunch with the girls all at once. Loving a lightweight dress layered with a denim vest and neutral sandals these days.

I'm back, feels so good to be home! But a little hot.... going from 80 with rain and a breeze to a dry 115 is rough.

I start my summer job today, nannying some of my favorite kiddos. Yay for pool and movie days!

Weekend Wear

I lived in popovers and boyfriend jeans/shorts all weekend. Such a comfortable, easy, and instantly cute combo. Wear your favorite sandals during the day, then throw on wedges for an evening out and you're set. I love simple outfits like this, they make my life so much easier :)

Headed home from the pines today (sad), but excited for a BBQ with the fam and a week full of wonderful preparation festivities. Christian's sis is getting married Saturday and I leave for Hawaii with momma and the girls on Sunday, yay!

Needless to say I will be doing some bathing suit shopping (ugh), spray tanning, packing, manicuring, and gift buying. What does everyone have planned for the week ahead?

Let's Beautify

I tried out the ombre nail trend last night and I'm in love! I used blue tones this time but can't wait to do pinks and oranges in the future. Makes me feel like a mermaid... I guess it's the green/blue ocean tones? Hello Ariel.

Momma took me lipstick shopping last weekend, I've never really worn the stuff since in fear of looking like a clown. I fell in love with MAC's Politely Pink and YSL's Volupte Sheer Candy. Politely Pink is great for everyday, very subtle and neutral. I love the YSL color as a pop of pink that isn't too "bright". It can be layered for a darker color or glazed on for a little color. Definitely hooked on lipstick now, uh oh!
