Happy Friday! Christian and I are headed to join my parents in Las Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo. I'm pretty darn excited for some family time, rodeo watching, and good shopping! What are everyone's plans this weekend?

Oh by the way, I walked out in this outfit and Christian just about died. He thinks it's ridiculous, but I think it's strangely fabulous. When it's chilly outside you can never have too many layers!

Fellow Fashion bloggers, have you ever had that "perfect" photo location in mind, taken the photos, and then realized the location wasn't so perfect? Welp, these photos pretty much sum that up. Oh well, as I've said before, my photos aren't professional but we are working on it!

I love a chambray buttondown with crisp white jeans for a simple look. Throw on some fun jewels and lipstick and you're ready for the day!

How were everyone's weekends? Mine was wonderful. Momma and I went to Tucson to set up my bedroom for the final semester. I got to see two of my sweet girlfriends while I was there and ate lots of Mexican food, pretty perfect I'd say.

I'm a dress/skirt kind of girl but when I wear shorts, I tend to gravitate toward the "boyfriend" look. Slightly baggier shorts with a popover top are so perfect together. Although they don't show off the figure very well, the combo sure is comfy :)

Summer Layering

Layering always gets tricky in the summer, you don't want to be too warm or too cool. As an Arizona girl, I usually layer on top in case I get too hot and need to remove a layer. The cooler weather in Pinetop inspired me to throw this chambray on underneath my favorite shift dress instead and it's now a favorite look. Definitely going to be layering underneath when headed to cooler climates from now on.

And who doesn't love a drop waist dress? I feel like they look good on most body types and are so feminine and comfortable. Get yourself one gals, I promise you'll love it!
