I'm a dress/skirt kind of girl but when I wear shorts, I tend to gravitate toward the "boyfriend" look. Slightly baggier shorts with a popover top are so perfect together. Although they don't show off the figure very well, the combo sure is comfy :)

Happy Friday pretties! I took these photos last week and completely forgot about them, yay for an extra outfit post!

I wasn't sure how fond I was of the black and white (ya know how things look better in your head?), but in the end I figured every gal needs a simple black and white go-to outfit. Oh, and I forgot to wear sunnies, oops!

Headed home from Hawaii soon, sadness. It'll be a long trek which makes leaving seem even less appealing. I am excited to get home to my men though; daddy, my brother Hansen, and Christian are getting a little lonely.

A Night Out

As I mentioned in this post, Christian and I had a date night on Friday that was just glorious. We haven't actually treated ourselves to a dinner out in forever.

I picked this lovely dress up at Old Navy last week on major sale (marked down even more in store) and love that it can be so easily dressed up or down. I pretty much live in sundresses and lightweight skirts/button downs in the summer.

Stripes on Stripes

I've always been hesitant to wear stripes on stripes as it has a tendency to make the vertically challenged (me) look short and stumpy. But, I'm loving this skirt paired with a wider striped blouse and heels. Blogging is so fun as it has helped me to step outside the box and discover new favorite outfits!

I relaxed all weekend and did some nice post-finals online shopping (shhh). How was everyone's weekend?

A Floppy Hat - Look What I Got!

Two of my favorite things: floppy hats and peplums! Had some inspiration via the Kentucky Derby last weekend, if only I could've gone! ;)

I purchased this hat last week at BCBG and am so proud of my purchase, it was $10 (down from $65)! Pretty inexpensive for a high quality store. That's the benefit of buying out of season :) But who cares if it's a "winter" hat, I'm wearing it all summer long! Yay for great deals!

Officially one week away from being done with the semester and counting the minutes... Thank goodness time is going by fast, it's already Tuesday! I've always been a fan of Tuesdays for some reason. I guess it's just better than Monday huh? Anything is better than Monday. So happy Tuesday pretties!
