I threw this outfit together to head to brunch last weekend and immediately felt like it wasn't quite the look I was going for. As the day wore on, I ended up completely falling in love with it. Funny how that happens.... The mixture of denim, wool, and silk gave it the perfect "AZ fall" feel and it was an unbelievably comfortable combination.

Fall Love

This past weekend was full of fall activities. On Friday, Christian and I went to a pumpkin patch and had so much fun. We did a corn maze, pet some animals, and picked our very own pumpkins. It was the first time I'd actually picked one off of the vine, pretty exciting! I hung out with a few girlfriends Friday night and we decorated pumpkins in hopes of them looking like Pinterest photos but that wasn't quite the case for me. Theirs all looked fabulous though! Saturday night my sweet friend Hollie and I got salads and bruschetta to go and ate it outside on my patio, the weather was just perfect this weekend. Afterward, Christian and I carved our pumpkins. Yet again, mine wasn't the best... oh well though. It was so wonderful to spend time with Christian; he's been gone most weekends and a few days during the week because of golf. We cherished our time together and definitely got in the fall spirit! You can check out a few photos from my weekend on Instagram. I hope everyone's weekends were wonderful!

Good news, I'm back up and running! I did end up having mono and although I'm completely exhausted I feel much better than I did before.

I ordered this dress from Lulu's last week and love it's patriotic colors and flowy shape (yes, I know "flowy" isn't a word). I debated whether or not to wear heels or flats with it but ultimately decided on booties. They aren't too dressy but are a step up from sandals. Plus, they add a fun western flare and fall style to the look. I only own one pair of booties but am looking so forward to buying more for the cooler months ahead.

Boyfriend Jeans

I've always been a little hesitant about boyfriend jeans due to their oversized shape. Although I still prefer a slimmer cut, boyfriend jeans are perfect for a casual night out. Plus, they're ridiculously comfortable. It's been so hot here in Arizona, I'm getting a little tired of it. For now I'm just sweating it out in long sleeves and jeans;) Happy weekend pretties!

Long time no post, sorry pretties. My photographer has been off duty golfing in Iowa for the past 5 days so I've been on a bit of a blogging leave, but that's okay :) This top is one of my new favorites, it's on major sale right now and so perfect for fall with the faux leather sleeves. Also, I'm loving nude nail polish right now. I initially thought it to be boring but it's a nice change from something bold. Thanks for reading!

"Summer" Sweater

I don't know if you all have noticed but I'm not really a short sleeve type of girl. Not for any particular reason, I just never find any cute "blouses" that have shorter sleeves. They all seem to be t-shirts which I'm not the biggest fan of. Therefore, I always end up buying button downs, popovers, and sweaters. Since sweaters aren't quite conducive to the Arizona weather, I'm dying to wear them! I finally just decided to sweat it out one night last week while at dinner with Christian. Can you tell I'm ready for fall? ;)

How were everyone's weekends? I spent mine doing homework, relaxing, and hanging out lots with my girlfriends. We had a sleepover, library date, Target run (always necessary), and wonderful dinners together. I figured I'd include a few pictures since I want to start including a but more about my life outside of "outfits", sorry for the poor Iphone photo quality. Thanks for stopping by!

I attended J. Crew Style Sessions last night and I'm in love with just about everything. Their fall line is full of embellished tops, leather detailing, and amazing pants. I picked up a few tops that I can't wait to wear... hurry up fall! My photographer did an amazing job, I had to include a photo of him ;)
