Pink & Leopard

outfit details: top: Banana Republic, shoes: J. Crew (in Hazelnut- via Ebay), jeans: J. Crew, belt: J. Crew, wallet: Tory Burch, necklace: J. Crew, watch: Michele, bracelets: J. Crew, Stella & Dot, ring: Ariella, lipstick: MAC Candy Yum Yum + YSL Rouge Volupte #11

There are two things I will never get tired of: the color pink and leopard print. I got these beautiful shoes for Christmas after stalking them for the last year. My momma found them on Ebay for a fraction of the price, score! Have I ever mentioned how much I love resale shops and sites? SO MUCH.

Also, my face looks super tan in these photos. Christian kept telling me how tan my face looked all night. I think it's because I've been running outside the past few days (with lots of sunscreen) and my vampire skin decided that it loved the sun. Hey, I'm not complaining.

J. Crew 25% Off

J. Crew

J. Crew is having a 25% off sale on ALL of the items from their site. What better time than now to stock up on fall staples and splurge worthy pieces?! I'm so happy to have found the camo quilted vest through J. Crew's "We'll Find it For You" service. Since I just purchased that, I probably won't be buying anything during the sale. I have been drooling over the leather sleeve tee, zipper dress, and leopard belt though so one of those items is next on my fall shopping list. What are your favorite sale picks?

Today is my big exam and the last daunting task of the week, yay! I'm so sorry for the lack of words lately, I appreciate everyone's comments and support. Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! :)

Day Trip

outfit details: sweater: J. Crew, jeans: Cielo, boots: Corso Como, jacket: Banana Republic, sunglasses: Karen Walker, lipstick: YSL Rouge Volupte #7, bag: Tory Burch

Christian and I made a little day trip up to Mt. Lemmon, a ski area about an hour from where we live. It was under 40 degrees and just beautiful. The aspens were all changing colors and the air was perfectly crisp. Although we had a wonderful time being together and enjoying the scenery, we had a couple of mishaps. For one, I completely forgot the camera. That made outfit pictures a little hard, so instead you're getting a trip post ;) Aside from that we went with the intention of stopping by a little place called the Cookie Cabin. We've been told by so many people how wonderful their pizookies are but last time we went it was closed. I called on Wednesday to make sure they were open and was told they were until 5pm. We arrived at 4:15 and yep, you guessed it, they were closed. I pretty much wanted to cry... Instead we laughed it off, took a picture of the sign, and decided to boycott the place. Overall it was a wonderful little day trip though, we always have so much fun together. Thanks for reading!

My sweet friend Amelia from The Desert Muse had the idea of putting together a fall "must have" list and I was immediately on board. We both threw some ideas in and decided on these 15 pieces, now I want them all! What are your fall must haves?

A Whole New Wardrobe

Although this isn't something I love talking about, I've lost about 25 pounds since last year. I went through some medical problems in 2012 that caused me to gain quite a bit of weight and for a girl who has been a size 2/4 her whole life it was really difficult. I'm proud to say that I'm almost back to my "normal" weight though, about 10 pounds to go! Because the weight came on so fast I really didn't own a lot of "in between" sized clothes. There were those that fit me at my heaviest and those that fit me at my before weight. Most of my tops and jackets from before are fitting me again though, which is such a relief. I have't worn this blazer in a year and a half and this J. Crew sequin top still had the tags on it from 18 months ago. It really is like having a whole new wardrobe and I'm loving it! Now for getting those "skinny" jeans to fit me again....

On a side note, my poor daddy had to take these photos for me. I was home for the night to celebrate my parents' 28th wedding anniversary and my mom was running a tad late so he was stuck doing it. Let's just say it wasn't his favorite thing, but he did a pretty darn good job for a newbie!

First Day of Fall

outfit details: top: Equipment, jeans: Cielo, sunglasses: Prada, shoes: Tory Burch, lipstick: YSL Rouge Volupte #11, bag: Prada via Poshmark, earrings: J. Crew (in store), bracelets: J. Crew, Stella & Dot Eden, Stella & Dot Renegade

As you all may know, yesterday was the first day of fall. It sure didn't feel like it here in Arizona but I didn't really expect it to. I'll be the girl busting out my sweaters and boots as soon as it dips below 85. I just get too excited! Until then, I'm trying to mix in some fall prints and denim to match the season without dying of heat stroke.

How were everyone's weekends? Christian and I went to a wonderful dinner at the Melting Pot (fondue) on Friday night and it was delicious! I also headed home for about 24 hours to see my parents before they spend the next couple of weeks on vacation. And most exciting of all, I found out I got an A+ on a test I thought I bombed, oh the joys of college! Thank goodness it's my last semester ;)

A Leopard Touch

outfit details: top: Joie via Nordstrom Rack, skirt: Ann Taylor, shoes: Steve Madden, bag: Prada via Poshmark, necklace: J. Crew, sunglasses: Celine via Ebay, bracelets: C Wonder, J. Crew, Stella & Dot, rings: Ariella, lipstick: Lady Danger

I'm loving animal prints these days. I just bought a beautiful leopard coat from Banana Republic and can't wait to wear it. Practical? Nope. But I don't really care ;) Sometimes a touch of leopard is all you need to liven up an outfit.
