First Day of Fall

As you all may know, yesterday was the first day of fall. It sure didn't feel like it here in Arizona but I didn't really expect it to. I'll be the girl busting out my sweaters and boots as soon as it dips below 85. I just get too excited! Until then, I'm trying to mix in some fall prints and denim to match the season without dying of heat stroke. 

How were everyone's weekends? Christian and I went to a wonderful dinner at the Melting Pot (fondue) on Friday night and it was delicious! I also headed home for about 24 hours to see my parents before they spend the next couple of weeks on vacation. And most exciting of all, I found out I got an A+ on a test I thought I bombed, oh the joys of college! Thank goodness it's my last semester ;)

Sometimes it just feels good to throw on a skirt, pretty blouse, and heels. I love getting dressed up and wished my everyday life allowed for more of it. Then again, I'd probably wish I could wear sweats all the time if it was the other way around. Thanks for reading, have a wonderful weekend!

Pleather

Pleather always made me think of hip hugging 70's bell bottoms in ridiculous colors, until now. I love the look of leather clothing but can't get myself to splurge quite yet (unless some fabulous jacket comes along). Thankfully though, there are so many great faux leather options out there that pleather has taken on a whole new meaning.

On another note, I dropped Christian off early this morning for his first University of Arizona golf tournament. I'm so proud of him for qualifying for this first tournament as a newbie on the team. And guess what? They're going to Pebble Beach! Lucky ducks, I told him I was gonna sneak into his suitcase ;)

Wearing White After Labor Day

As far as fashion goes, I don't believe in rules. Just about everything can be pulled off if it's styled right and worn with confidence. That being said, I LOVE white after Labor Day. Pairing it with seasonal pieces and different prints/colors makes it so crisp and clean. Thanks for stopping by!

I tried out the ombre nail trend last night and I'm in love! I used blue tones this time but can't wait to do pinks and oranges in the future. Makes me feel like a mermaid... I guess it's the green/blue ocean tones? Hello Ariel.

Momma took me lipstick shopping last weekend, I've never really worn the stuff since in fear of looking like a clown. I fell in love with MAC's Politely Pink and YSL's Volupte Sheer Candy. Politely Pink is great for everyday, very subtle and neutral. I love the YSL color as a pop of pink that isn't too "bright". It can be layered for a darker color or glazed on for a little color. Definitely hooked on lipstick now, uh oh!
