A few months ago, I would never have worn two pieces of the same color together. I'm now a monochrome lover though, it's just so fresh looking and chic. I paired this navy skirt with a patterned top of the same hue and am loving how the different prints and textures make up for a lack of color difference. This is one trend I will definitely be transferring into my fall wardrobe.

I'm writing this while watching the Bachelorette... needless to say it's all I can think about. I mean, how can she really love him while she's claiming to have just had her heart broken? But it all seems so romantic, and I'm obsessed with Chris. They're just adorable. Please don't tell me this is all fake, it's real people I just know it. And they're gonna live happily ever after.

Yet another reason I'm ready for fall: good TV! What are your favorite fall shows? I'm ready for Grey's Anatomy and Vampire Diaries for sure.

Do you think it's okay to wear the color blue 5 out of 7 days a week? I just can't help myself... I keep trying to add more color to my wardrobe but there's just something about navy blue, cobalt, and turquoise that I can't stray away from. Blue really goes with everything, is appropriate for every occasion, and is the one color I can trust with my light hair/eyes/skin. Anyone else a blue lover??

I'm back, feels so good to be home! But a little hot.... going from 80 with rain and a breeze to a dry 115 is rough.

I start my summer job today, nannying some of my favorite kiddos. Yay for pool and movie days!

I lived in popovers and boyfriend jeans/shorts all weekend. Such a comfortable, easy, and instantly cute combo. Wear your favorite sandals during the day, then throw on wedges for an evening out and you're set. I love simple outfits like this, they make my life so much easier :)

Headed home from the pines today (sad), but excited for a BBQ with the fam and a week full of wonderful preparation festivities. Christian's sis is getting married Saturday and I leave for Hawaii with momma and the girls on Sunday, yay!

Needless to say I will be doing some bathing suit shopping (ugh), spray tanning, packing, manicuring, and gift buying. What does everyone have planned for the week ahead?

Happy Thursday!! So excited to be headed to Pinetop for the weekend with my family and boy, I'm looking forward to the beautiful weather and relaxation.

I fell in love with this top at J. Crew last year and somehow it got lost in the back of my closet, I love rediscovering beloved pieces. And I keep telling myself to stop wearing so much blue... I just can't do it. Help!

I've always been hesitant to wear stripes on stripes as it has a tendency to make the vertically challenged (me) look short and stumpy. But, I'm loving this skirt paired with a wider striped blouse and heels. Blogging is so fun as it has helped me to step outside the box and discover new favorite outfits!

I relaxed all weekend and did some nice post-finals online shopping (shhh). How was everyone's weekend?

Floral First

As much as I love floral patterns, I've had such a hard time getting myself to wear them. I think it's just that voice in my head telling me that solids, stripes, and polka dots are a better investment. I purchased this shirt at J. Crew last week though and I'm in love! Definitely going to be searching for more floral pieces with bright colors for the summer months.

How cute is that bulldog face?! My parents have three dogs: a labrador, an english bulldog, and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix but Bohdi the bulldog has the most personality by far. He so badly wanted to be in the pictures lol.

Say hello to the most unflattering but comfortable shirt EVER. And it's cute, right? A little maternity esque with jeans but that's totally okay with me.

I'm currently sitting amidst the beautiful pines and 70 degree weather at my parents' cabin. It's divine. Unfortunately heading back to Tucson next week for two more finals and them I'm done, wahoo! For now I'm just focusing on the serenity of this place. What are your plans for the weekend?
